There are two main types of high voltage electrical injuries: autochthonous and general (diffuse) nature.
Autochthonous type
Electrical injury predisposes damage to bones, soft tissues, ligaments, raw skin. With an adequate course of therapy, partial or absolute recuperation of labor ability is get reached. Deaths, however, are recorded in exceptional cases.
The prime classification of focal type electric shock is presented with:
Burns - occurs in 60% of victims, of which 85% of patients are electricians.
• in the first degree – emergence of redness on the dermis;
• at the second degree – formation of blisters;
• at the third degree -occurrence of skin necrosis;
• at the fourth-degree observation of carbonization of the subcutaneous tissues.
