ABSTRACT
More than a year has passed since the first lockdown was announced in the country due to a novel coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic forced every office, institutions, shop, malls, restaurants, especially the schools to shut down. Everyone in this pandemic suffered losses in one way or another be it the loss in monetary terms or life loss. The one loss on this pandemic was face to face education. The pandemic turned the whole education sector into online mode. In these two years the whole system of education has changed and no one ever imagined that it might happen. The online learning of the new normal education was very difficult to the students and also to the teachers. But time has passed the scientist discovered many and different vaccines for the solution of Covid 19.
The pandemic brought forth abrupt changes and adaption of different protocols which should done by everyone. This drives the researchers to conduct a study about the perception of Dasol Catholic School Grade 10 Students on the Effectiveness of the Covid 19 Vaccine.
Based on the study performed, the researchers came up with the following conclusions: 1.) A number of grade 10 students who got their vaccine is higher than those who are not vaccinated; 2.) Some grade 10 students don’t want to be vaccinated by booster shot. 3.) The confidence of grade 10 students is low when it comes to booster shot. 4.) Almost half of the number of students is not sure about the effectiveness of Covid19 vaccine. 5.) Grade10 students agreed that the vaccine must be mandatory.
Furthermore, based upon the extracted data and conclusions, the researchers came up with the following recommendations: 1.) School must implement no vaccine no to face to face classes to ensure safety of everyone. 2.) School must provide safety kits and PePs when face to face classes started. 3.) Promote vaccine confidence among students. 4.) As a family, we should convince our children to have their vaccinations. 5.) Increase awareness, knowledge and dissemination of accurate vaccination information.
