2017 Varsity Wrestling Tournament
Teams Invited: Auburn, Bellevue East, Blair, Elkhorn, Fairbury, Falls City, Grand Island Northwest, Gross Catholic, Lincoln High, Lincoln Pius X, Plattsmouth, Papillion-LaVista South, Ralston & Seward.
Date: January 21st, 2017 (Saturday).
Time: Weigh Ins at 7:30 AM. Wrestling begins at 9:30 AM.
Location: Plattsmouth High School, 1916 Old Highway 34, Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Will wrestle three mats in the Main Gym.

Facility: Will assign locker rooms on arrival.
Entry Fee: $135 per team
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top six place winners in each weight class.

Plaques will be awarded for the first and second place teams.

Format: Seeding Meeting will be held in the media center at 8:00 AM. Track Wrestling

will be used. Information will be sent out shortly.

Seeding Criteria for Plattsmouth Varsity Tournament

1. 
   Head to Head
   
2. 
   Common Opponent
   
3. 
   Point System as follows if Step A and Step B don’t determine seed.
   
   1. 
      1—point returning state qualifier from last season.
      
   2. 
      1.5—points returning state medalist from last season.
      
   3. 
      .5—point winning percentage difference -5%
      
   4. 
      1—point winning percentage difference 5.1-10%
      
   5. 
      1.5 point winning percentage difference 10.1% or more.
      

4. 
   If points are ties, draw those tied.
   
5. 
   If there are three or more people tied in steps 1 & 2 then go back to step 1, Head to Head.
   
6. 
   Draw the byes.
   
7. 
   Then place losing records by percentage.
