Nothing comes easy

Nothing comes easy, ever if you want something, you have to work for it. I mean we should work on your craft, learn from people who have something to teach. It is just like anything else, practice makes perfect. So, I should say about my difficulties which I came across. The most important problem was “document” affairs. The paper work was so difficult that made every one confused. If everything are on paper, it is good but I think a lot of document don’t need at all. The more documents people have, the more nervous they are!!! Not only teachers, but also student- teachers sometimes hesitate what to do, documents or teaching. Yes, teacher should manage everything, however everything has its measure. It is wasting time dealing with so many papers. My suggestion is making document work shorten.

During the practice period I observed several lessons of my groupmates. I saw their teaching method. Some of them used new styles, some of them taught traditionally. I learnt from them and also they learnt from me. In my opinion, all my groupmates achieved their goals. Because they could make a decision about choosing a future profession. To tell the truth, some students don’t want to be a teacher anymore, some want strongly. As for me, my decision is 50% to 50%. It is enjoyable if someone take some knowledge from you, so just teaching is good but I do not like its documentation work.
An once of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.

From my point of view we should not practice until we get it right, we should practice until we cannot get it wrong.


REPORT №1

I want to write this report for the demonstrative lesson which was held by Avezbaeva Yulduz. The lesson was held on the twentieth of the December. Yulduz started her lesson at 10.00 on time, punctually. The guests of the lesson were Khudaybergenova Zukhra and Yulduz’s subject teacher Abdullaeva Sayyora.

First of all, the aims of the lesson were clear. It includes all integrated skills and also the grammar part about “Technology”. Yulduz explained the grammar topic in a accurate way with several examples. There was a good pupils involvement in the class. She behaved her freely and she was able to keep fluency and frequency of her speech. The pupils were so active and eager to participate in all the activities. They tried to win the gifts of her.

For all the observers lesson plan sheets were given separately and other handouts for the pupils were enough. That side of the lesson was I liked mostly.

However, I want to mention about the negative sides of this demonstrative lesson. We know that everyone has minority, as such Yulduz too. For example, among her activities there was “Checking memory task” . She checked all the pupils memory, she did not have to do like that. Because it caused to make other pupils and the observers bored. Adding that she showed a slideshow program and asked some questions related to the slide. When she received the answers the balance of attention wasn’t satisfied. She didn’t pay attention to both of the groups equally. In my opinion, balance of attention to all pupils is one of the most important sides of teaching process. Furthermore, time management was not a bit accurate.

Although, I noticed that Yulduz has good progress in teaching process. I hope, if she corrects some mistakes of her, she will be an effective teacher in the future.

REPORT №2
During the practice period I observed a lot of lessons of the student- teachers. After observing them we may add something to our teaching process or give advice them by making known feedback. And now, in this report I want to mention about Kosimova Sevara’s demonstrative lesson which was held on the 16th December.

I felt the lesson was pleasant. The reason of thinking like this is Sevara and her funny pupils were able to give the lesson interesting, funny atmosphere. The aim of the lesson was “ Technology ”. The activities and other games were suitable for the aim of the lesson. Actually, the “Warming-up” activity, “Word searching” activity and other games attracted not only pupils, but also the observers’ attention. Everyone watched excitedly. The handouts were enough. The speech of her was clear without pronunciation mistakes. The grammar topic also was explained in a short, clear and easy way. The class was well-decorated with colorful posters.

On the other hand, during the lesson I caught sight of being nervous enough of her. Because most of her pupils are boys and at the beginning of her lesson they made a lot of noise and of course, this situation drives her nervous. However, she was able to manage not to show her anger to the pupils and audience. Furthermore, when the game part started students were so noisy that she had difficulties to keep silence. In my opinion, for being joyful of pupils, the lesson was interesting. Because by making students be active hardly, you cannot achieve wonderful atmosphere in the class. For showing the results of your work, your students should help by being cheerful and speaking from the bottom of the heart. So, I do not want to blame her pupils for being funny. They are wonderful!

Summarizing this report, I want to tell that during the two months (November, December) Saltanat managed to achieve great respect from the naughty boys and made them interested in learning English!


November 1

Monday
Today there was a meeting held at 10 o’clock in our department in order to inform us about one of the most important events in our last academic year, pedagogical practical internship.

The dean of our faculty Kurbanov Djavod, then head of the English language department Khadjieva Dilbar, the Methodists of pedagogic and psychology department Sagindikova Nargiza, Methodists from our department Khudaybergenova Zuhra, Elmuratov Rashid, Uteshova Zerke and others participated in this meeting.

The first speech was made by Djavod Kurbanov. He congratulated us on the pedagogical practical internship and wished good luck. The head of our department Dilbar Khadjieva continued the dean’s speech and introduced us with process of our internship. She informed the students the students where they would have to have their pedagogical practical internship. It was decided that we would go to have our internship at the first lyceum near KSU named after Berdakh.

We were told that during the internship we should teach students not only English, but also we need to observe, them psychologically.

Sagindikova Nargiza said that she would observe our teaching methods and ability of using our knowledge on pedagogical psychology.

Then we talked to our Methodist Khudaybergenova Zuhra. She told us that we would go to the lyceum the next day and begin our pedagogical internship. After that the gave us all necessary documents and issues and gave some advise which would be very useful during the internship.

November 2

Wednesday


Today at 8:30 we came to the academic lyceum №1 near KSU named after Berdakh. There was held a meeting by our Methodist Khudaybergenova Zuhra. She congratulated us on the first day of our pedagogically practical internship. After giving some instructions she introduced us with the head of the English language department of the lyceum Khansuliw Uzakova and the deputy head of the lyceum A.Dosimbetov, Khansuliw Uzakova introduced us with the list of the groups that we would have to teach and our supervise from the teachers of the kyceum . A.Dosimbetov enlightened us about the rules of the lyceum and wished success in our pedinternhip then we checked the timetable of the students and wrote it down.

After that I went to talk my supervisors. Khansuliw Uzakova she gave all necessary documents for the teacher such as annual syllabus, lesson plans and explained how to fill them that was the end of my first day at the lyceum.

November 3
Today was full of interesting things to me. Because I was in my future students, circle. As you know I have only one English lesson today then after those lesson I decided to observe my future students at the lesson. Everybody was like Khansuliw apa said In first pair I just observed who they were and what kind of differences they had each other. They were impressed on well, really well. Because they were active during the lesson, and I realized that my some students were future historians. They were special group for English language I really liked them. At first they looked me strangely and during the lesson they forgot that I was at class. According to my experiences I was jave we understood each other.

In second pair I decided to more other classes, such as Azamat’s class. They were 3rd year students. Every lesson was very interesting for them I think they also made me enjoyable like my future students. There was English at the class in the second pair. And I can say that this group students like history. History was very amazing for me everytime. I mean history looks like a fairy tail. They were really enjoyed their second paor.

In the third pair I returned the 3rd year students’ lesson, exactly my future students. Last pair was Mother tongue “Karakalpak tili”. This lesson was also very enjoyable for me. Teacher explained a lot of exercises to do. At the end of the lesson I thanked for the teacher and returned my home.

November 4

Today I was an observe again at my supervisor’s lesson lesson. As usual lesson, began with greetup, asking attendance, and asking from student’s what home task was for them. After students told task, teacher asked and checked home task immediately some of students weren’t ready for the task. Teacher warned them about losing their marks for today. Then teacher explained new topic for today. Developing, listening and speaking. Every lesson teacher should prepare materials based on the theme and share new ideas and facts with students. For that lesson teacher prepared some tests. Then teacher distributed test papers. For test teacher gave 60 minute. At the end of the lesson teacher checked their tests and put them suitable marks and lesson was over.

In the second pair I was in Yulduz and Sevara’s class. Their mentor was very serious. Besides she understood her students without words. As their students were 2nd year students they were a little capricious and no beef-control yet. However teacher could work with them absolutely sure and keps friendly atmosphere. With them and of course didn’t forget to keep distance between teacher and pupils. I left the class with grateful and thanked teacher at the end of the lesson.

In the third pair I was at the library again. There was a lot of information on the magazines and newspapers. Besides I continued learning students look for 3rd year students. Overall I finished my tasks and returned my home.

November 5

Today there was the first pair at the lyceum for my mentor I come to lyceum early morning that I wanted to be prepare my papers to observe and check my future students behaviour and actions before the lesson and actions before the lesson. Students come and prepared the lesson. Some of them were preparing the lesson. Some of them were making little noise. Bill rang and teacher began the lesson on time. As usual greeting with students, asking their mood and home task for today. Unfortunately some students didn’t come to the lesson, because of their illness. After checking attendance teacher looked through student copybook immediately.

As know all students were ready and it made teacher happy then teacher moved. The new topic, exactly student should prepare presentation. Topic was “Famous cities over the world”. Pupils made beautiful and magnification posters to present their presentations. A group chose to describe pupils. The prepared wonderful posters and it was decorated with fascinating pictures, which described all places in Paris. Presentations speech was also good 3 group chose. London to describe and that was also magnificent presentation speech was nice and fine. C group chose to describe. Toronto, which my favourite city, Their poster made me amazed and I really liked it. Presentators were excellent. D group chose to describe Moscow and it was also fascinating to me. Presentators described the very well especially about London.

In the second pair. I was in Gauhar’s group and observed their knowledge about English. Unfortunately they had no English today, but history had. I observed this lesson. Lesson made me satisfied.

In the third pair I was in Alisher and Farrukh’s mentors lesson. She was also good and kind. I really like her. Her lesson was good and I was sure that Alisher and Farrukh would own great experience about teaching and being teacher. At the end of the lesson I thanked for this lesson I returned my home.


November 7

Today so much fantastic and exciting day for me. I had a chance to begin my first lesson with my pupils. Firstly, I was really shocked ever felt myself as a desalked. However mentor made me calm down and encouraged me doing my best. Then I controlled my mind and started the lesson with greeting, I introduced myself again and wished good luck both of us. Today’s topic was self evaluation and peer observation. That’s why I preferred to begin my lesson with a logical question to check my pupils knowledge and interests. They were clever and found the answer immediately. After a logical question , I moved on my new materials such as “Are we advice junkies” Why I chose this text to learn and discuss because I wanted to check pupils degree and their manners, behaviours. After reading the text pupils shared their opinions and answered my questions.

How many friends do you have? And all of them are close friends for you?

How do you solve the problem? Ask help somebody? And etc.

Then I gave them some pants about what kind of problem solver they were, such as. After the lesson, my mentor gave me feedback and said that I was good, but I should do more thing than I did the first lesson. Because I absolutely forgot to ask attendance and pupils marks to put them.
