II. Relate briefly the plot of the book or composition of the text.
By composition we mean the elements of the plot (содержание).
A plot reflects events, episodes and the actions of characters (main or secondary, positive and negative). The elements of the plot include:
1) Exposition (то, что до сюжета) is some information that preceded the depicted events. It shows the time, the place and the action of the text.
2) The beginning of the plot. It represents the event that starts the action
3) The development of the plot it shows the action in their development
4) Culmination – it is the highest point of the action. Usually culmination shows the moment of great tension
5) Denouement –it is the event that brings the action to the end
6) End
7) Epilogue – it is the description, which took place some time or some years.
If a story has all the elements of the plot it is called a closed plot structure. If some elements, of the plot are missing it is called an open plot structure.
