Write a 200-word reflective paragraph answering the following questions:

1. 
   Do I use more lexical variation in my writing?
   

To begin with, we should understand what the lexical variation is. Lexical variation is differences in words and phrases. When it comes to my usage of vocabulary, I can say that I always try to apply to lexical variations in my speech and writing. I think that, I should make an attempt to use more and more lexical variations. By this way, I can make my speech interesting, beautiful and more explainable to the listener. As for me, I try to strengthen my vocabulary by learning by heart the words, phrases, idioms and even slangs that are strange and new for me.

2. 
   Are my sentences longer and more complex?
   

I think, long sentences are sometimes necessary, but shorter sentences are easier to understand. Explaining things in long sentences can be easier. Writing in short sentences can be more difficult. If you write longer sentences, you're asking the reader to do more work. If you write shorter sentences, you're doing more of the work yourself. Shorter sentences are evidence of having done some thinking about how to present the information.

   What grammar mistakes do I still make?
   

In my opinion, each and every person makes mistakes in the course of their lifetime. So, I can say with no shy that there exist some mistakes that I still make when it comes to the grammar. Namely, I face up to some difficulties when I have to choose gerund or infinitive after prepositions. Because, at the time when my teacher explained this lesson I was absent due to my cousin’s wedding. Although, I minimized the missed lesson on my own, I still confuse them in some cases.

4. 
   How do I organize my written text?
   

I have my own tactic on organizing my written texts. For example, when I write an essay, I always begin it with special beginnings and I try to apply more word combinations and collocations in my compound sentences. Or I write my opinion with ordinary words in simple sentences and then try to support them with the strongest terms.

5. 
   How can I continue to improve as a writer?
   

Nothing is easy in this life and everything is achieved with difficulty. Thus, I can make my writing skills go on and improve by practicing, practicing and practicing. And in addition to practicing, reading others’ writings to gain something new for me or to have an ideas for myself may make me continue to improve as a writer.
