1)The UK has scooped the first spot in The 2019 Best Countries for Education, maintaining its rank from last year, according to a study by US News & World Report.
The UK also ranks #5 in the 2019 Best Countries Rankings, down one spot from last year.
A total of 80 countries are featured in the report.
The report noted that: “The 2019 Best Countries for Education are ranked based on a perception-based global survey, which used a compilation of scores from three equally weighted country attributes: well-developed public education system, would consider attending university there and provides top quality education.”
2) The system of old British schools as reflected by the story shows that the system was quite formal and conservative in nature. The teachers did not have a very good rapport with the students with the stress being more on keeping a respectable distance between the two rather than a friendly approach. Classical learning was encouraged more than the sciences which were still in its infancy. Teachers like Crocker-Harris commanded immense respect from students even though his teaching methods were set apart from the rest. Students were expected to be at their best at all times and work hard without expectations of being favoured. The student-teacher relationship was one of respect but with young teachers coming into the picture, things would probably chnage towards a more interactive process.
3) UK moves up in global education ranking. England raises its ranking by nine places in maths, with improvements in reading and science in the latest PISA global student assessment results. ... As education in the UK is devolved, PISA publishes separaterankings for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland
4) The UK higher education system is much more focused and specialized than the US. ... USuniversity students are given two years to choose a major of intended study. In the mean time, students are free to take a range of subjects of their choosing while also required to study subjects outside their major.
5) UK Education System. The education system in the UK is divided into four main parts, primary education, secondaryeducation, further education and higher education. Children in the UK have to legally attend primary and secondaryeducation which runs from about 5 years old until the student is 16 years old.

Modern service on rapid transit systems are provided on designated lines between stations typically using electric multiple units on rail tracks, although some systems use guided rubber tires, magnetic levitation (maglev), or monorail. The stations typically have high platforms, without steps inside the trains, requiring custom-made trains in order to minimize gaps between train and platform. They are typically integrated with other public transport and often operated by the same public transport authorities. However, some rapid transit systems have at-grade intersections between a rapid transit line and a road or between two rapid transit lines.
The high cost of constructing transit projects in the United States has attracted criticism that similar projects are being built more cost-effectively in Europe. A simple distance-based comparison of two similarly-complex urban subway extension projects, the Jubilee Line Extension in London and the Flushing Line Extension in New York, indicates that the New York project costs more than two times as much per mile as the London project.
An electric locomotive is a locomotive powered by electricity from overhead lines, a third rail or on-board energy storage such as a battery or a supercapacitor
Electric locomotives with on-board fueled prime movers, such as diesel engines or gas turbines, are classed as diesel-electric or gas turbine-electric and not as electric locomotives, because the electric generator/motor combination serves only as a power transmission system.
An electric current is the rate of flow of electric charge past a point or region. An electric current is said to exist when there is a net flow of electric charge through a region. In electric circuits this charge is often carried by electrons moving through a wire. It can also be carried by ions in an electrolyte, or by both ions and electrons such as in an ionized gas
The current carrying capability of the power cables rely largely on the installation conditions and material properties. In this work, the influences on ampacity of conductor size, soil thermal resistivity and ambient soil temperature for underground installations are shown.
