PECULIARITY OF ACUTE OTITIS CAUSERS IN CHILDREN 
 OF THE FIRST YEARS OF LIFE

In order to clarify the etiological structure of acute purulent otitis, we analyzed 
the results of bacteriological examination of 85 children separated from the ears of 
the first three months of life, 30 children aged from 3 months to a year and 30 from 
year to 3 years. The first place in the frequency of discharge in newborns and 
children in the first three months of life is Ps. aeruginosa, which was planted in 
35.3% of observations, in the 2nd place is St. epidermidis (26%). St. aureus stood 
out in 17.6% of children and Str. pneumonia - in 11.8% of patients. In children 
aged 3 months to a year, 43.3% were sown. epidermidis, Ps. 16.6% of aeruginosa, 
Str. pneumonia - in 26.6% and Str. riogenus in 10%. At the age from one year to 
three years, the pseudomonas sunspill was less common (3.5%), while the spectrum 
of the remaining pathogens remained approximately the same as in children under 
one year old: St. Epidermidis in 43%, Str. pneumonia - in 21.5% and Str. riogenus 
in 14%. The clinical feature of otitis media caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 
their combination with the external one in more than half of the cases.
We have also analyzed the sensitivity and resistance to antibiotics of the 
pathogen dominating in the etiological structure of otites in the early age period. 
According to the study, all strains of Ps. Aeruginosa were sensitive to amikacin, 
tobramycin, meropenem, ciprofloxacin, clindamycin and resistant to oxacillin, 
ampicillin-sulbactam, co-trimaxazole, nitrofurantoin. Findings. 1. In the etiological 
structure of acute purulent otitis media in children in the first three months of life, 
Ps.aeruginosa plays a leading role, the second place in the frequency of exposure is 
St. epidermidis, rarely detected St. aureus and str. pneumonia. 2. At an older age, 
the frequency of excretion of Ps.aeruginosa decreases, and the proportion of Str. 
pneumonia and str. riogenus is growing. 3. Given the dominance of Ps.aeruginosa 
in the structure of the causative agents of ear inflammation in newborns and 
children in the first months of life, prescribing local and systemic treatment, anti-
pseudomonas antibacterial drugs should be preferred, especially with a 
combination of acute otitis media with external.
