Stress interchange is not restricted to pairs of words consisting of a noun and a verb. It may also occur between other parts of speech, for instance, between adjective and verb, cf. frequent adj--to frequent v, absent ad-- to absent v, etc.
Lexicalisation of plural forms of nouns is a process of forming new words by transferring a new meaning to the plural form of it: arm - arms = weapons; colour – colours = a national flag; custom - customs = import duties; good – goods, new-news, etc.
It is difficult sometimes to draw a border - line between polysemy and homonymy of such cases, so many of them are open to doubt.
