Description − 
a description is a special text that starts with a general definition 
and the name of an item or object; then comes the enumeration of signs, properties, 
qualities, actions; the description is completed by a final phrase giving an assessment 
of the subject or expressing an attitude towards it.
 
The description is distinguished by 
static, non-rigid structure, which allows varying, rearranging its components. For 
descriptive texts, a ray connection is often used, which is characterized by what the 
object is called, and then each quality or feature of the object, like a ray, is attached to 
the characteristic of the object. 
Preschoolers are taught to describe toys, subject or plot pictures, their own 
drawings or their design, natural phenomena, people and animals. Teaching the 
construction of descriptive texts will help children form elementary ideas about the 
structure and functions of a descriptive text.

Narration
is a coherent story about some events. Its basis is a story that unfolds 
over time. Narrative serves to tell about developing actions and states (narration about 
facts, events, state and mood, experiences). The material in it is presented on the basis 
of those semantic connections that are prompted by the life situation. The sequence of 
events is determined by their actual course. Therefore, the structure of the narrative is 
rigid, that is, it requires a certain sequence, does not allow rearrangement (the 
beginning of the event, its development and end). In narrative monologues, means are 
used that convey the development of the action: species-temporal verb farms; 
vocabulary denoting time, place, mode of action; words to connect sentences. 
Preschool children compose stories on a visual basis and without relying on 
visualization.
