King Solomon
The Sun , the Moon, the Water and the Wind came to the king Solomon to request whether he could allow them to stop moving and stand motionless, as they were tired. The Snake came to ask Solomom to give her a pair of wings so that she could fly and not crawl.
Solomon gathered all the animals and birds for a counsel. The Bat that came last said: “If the sun will stand motionless, there will be light in one place, and dark in the other. And if the Moon stoped moving, the same would happen. If the wind began to blow in one direction, all the dust and sand would be swept into one hill(pile) and there wouldn’t be balance (equilibrium). And if the water stopped to flow and gathered in one place, then there would be one watering place for the whole world. And the Bat added that if Solomon would agree to give the Snake wings, she would kill all the living.
