An accident report which is sometimes called an incident report, is a report form that is filled out to document the details of the person who has an injury caused by accidents that happened in a specific place.
The purpose of an accident report is to accurately write the exact details of the accident while it is fresh from the mind of the witnessed person. Here are the guidelines in writing an effective report.
Determine what is the purpose of your report. This should the first thing to consider because it identifies your whole report. Ask yourself if what report you are going to write. Is it a factual report? Instructional report? Or leading report?

Leading reports intends to persuade.
Identify your readers. Before you start writing your report, you must know who your readers are going to be. Make sure that your report is appropriate to the readers. So that they can read it without delay, understands and comprehend everything in your project reports, and can accept the fact without questions in mind.
Identify your report objective. You can do this by asking yourself if what do you want the reader to think after they have read your report or what should they do after reading it.
Outline your report. After you have identified your reader and set your report objective, the next thing to do is to outline your report. Here’s a sample outline for you.

The body of your report. This is where your write the mainstructure of your report.

Consider the layout of your report. Use Arial or Calibri (Body) as font and make the size 12″. Use the common business proposal letter format which is 1″ margin each side. If you are going to use pictures, make sure it is visually appealing, easy to understand, and can describe its subject.
