implementation. Given that the sector is dominated by government enterprises, these sponsors are 

engaged in discussions with the Government and adjusting accordingly their feasibility / 

commercial plans. IFC could potentially support them with several financing options, including 

equity and debt finance, as well as mobilization from private banks and MIGA guarantees. Were 

these investments materialized, they would significantly increase IFC portfolio in the country in 

the upcoming CPF.
