This introduction didn’t use any of the approaches that were listed in this chapter.  Instead it 

used a metaphor approach comparing two unrelated things (sprouting seeds to raising 

children) to make a unique point.  The approaches described in this chapter are potential ways 

to begin a paper but by no means should limit your creativity.
