Superlative adjectives we use when three or more things are compared, the superlative form of the adjective is used to describe the object that is at the highest or lowest limit of the group. We usually use article “the” and “est” when it is one syllabic adjective. For example: long/ the longest, hot/ the hottest.
When it is two or more than two syllabic adjective we don’t change adjective and we add article “the” and the word “most”. For example:beautiful/the most beautiful, interesting/the most interesting.

  1. a) Put these words into two groups: family\ relationships and other relationships. Check new words in pl30.

  1. a) Make a list of all the roles you play in life.

2 How many of the same roles do you have?

  1. Look at Molly’s family tree. Then fill in the gaps with the superlative form of these adjectives. Use the if necessary.

Molly Well, let’s start with my parents. I think my mother is 1_________person in the family. She teaches at a university. But my father is certainly 2_________.I taught a lot when I’m with him.

  1. Fill in the gaps in Dom’s sentences with the superlative from of the adjective m brackets Use the if necessary.

8. a) Work in pairs. Take turns to tell your partner about your family tree. Use at least one superlative for each person. Ask questions to find out more information.
b) Which person/people in your partner’s family would you like to meet?
