Procedure of the lesson:

I. Organizing moment: Motivation, Greeting, checking attendance, season, weather, checking the preparation for the lesson.

II. Asking homework:

- Check for homework given on past lesson.

- Ask pupils all new words learnt on previous lesson.
III. Pre-activity:

Activity 1 Write, listen and repeat. 8 min

Objectives: to introduce the new words; to prepare for the lesson

STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the new words and try to guess the meaning.

Help them establish the meaning of the words.



STEP 2: Ask the pupils to listen and repeat.

IV. Main part
Activity 2a Read and complete the sentences. 10 min

Objective: to develop reading skills

STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the phrases a-g. Help them establish the meaning if necessary.

STEP 2: Ask the pupils to read and complete the text with the phrases a-g. Say they will check the answers in Activity 2b.



Activity 2b Listen and check. 5 min

Objective: to develop listening skills

The pupils listen and check the answers.

Objective: to revise the Present Continuous Tense

The pupils in pairs read and complete the sentences.
