Introduction

Writing is the craftsmanship where language is utilized as the mode of tasteful articulation. Individuals express thoughts and believing and to speak with each other use language. Both writing and language has work as device of correspondence. Writing is additionally result of culture. As result of culture, it has some capacity for human’s life. As per Horace writing is dulcet utile or delightful and profitable. Both of them can't be isolated, they complete one of another. There are a few abstract works, one of them is novel. Novel is book length story in exposition, whose writer attempts to make the feeling that, while the peruses, they experience the real life.

Literature is that form of writing which man creates with the help of language in order to enjoy his exploration of the experience of life. Its basic characteristic is its fictional quality. The writer creates an image of life in order to enshrine in it his understanding of the meaning of life derived from his experience. A writer responds to the facts of life and present to readers the resultant intuitive realization of Truth. This realization is presented always through some attractive image of life which symbolizes experiential reality.

The theme of our course work paper is Thomas Hardy – his early life, works and travels. “Tess of the d’Urbervilles” by Thomas Hardy.

The topically of the research paper lies on the clarification of author’s biography and his work “Tess of the d’Urbervilles” by Thomas Hardy.

The aim of this research work is to reveal the theme in “Tess of the d’Urbervilles” by Thomas Hardy.

In order to achieve the aim of this research work we set up several tasks:
