The composition of Uzbekistan’s exports remains substantially concentrated 
in primary commodities, including precious metals and mineral products 
(Figure 5.4). Gold accounted for 23% of Uzbekistan’s exports in 2018, up from 
14% in 1995. On the other hand, textiles, including cotton fiber declined in 
total exports, from 77% in 1995 to only 8% in 2018. ADB (2006) estimated
