Article 10. Powers of local government bodies in the field of tourism
Local government bodies:
implement state policy and coordinate tourism in the relevant territory;
participate in the development and implementation of state and territorial programs in the field of tourism;
approve, in agreement with the authorized state body and (or) its territorial division, territorial programs in the field of tourism, including an action plan for the development of the tourism sector for the short and medium term;
create conditions for the development of tourism in the relevant territory;
provide unhindered access for tourists and sightseers to tourist resources located in the relevant territory and means of communication, as well as their medical, legal and other types of assistance;
analyze the existing tourism potential and provide the necessary information about the development of tourism in the relevant territory;
develop and implement measures to protect tourism resources located in the relevant territory;
coordinate the planning and construction of tourism industry facilities in the relevant territory, as well as the timely allocation of land and ensuring their connection to the necessary engineering and communications networks;
search and attract investors, as well as assisting them at all stages of the implementation of investment projects in the relevant territory;
develop and support entrepreneurship in the field of tourism in order to increase employment and incomes of the population;
organize tourist information centers.
