’m in Las Vegas at the Bacchanal Buffet in Caesars Palace, probably the best
buffet in the world. Next to me is a man who must be tipping the scales at 400
bills. As I watch him waddle back and forth to the buffet, double-plated for the
umpteenth time, I curse the man in my head: because this selfish ass can’t stop
stuffing his face, someone else on the planet is starving.
