Activity 1a

Objective: to introduce the Present Perfect for actions completed at an unspecified time in the past

Ask PP to look at the pictures. Ask questions about them to lead to the meaning of the Present Perfect.

e.g. Who can you see? How old is s/he do you think? What is s/he doing? Is s/he doing it or is it finished?

Let PP answer in mother tongue if necessary. Then introduce the model sentences in 1a. Pupils read, listen and repeat the phrases.
