Economic Impact Model

An input-output model (I-O model) is a mathematical model that 
describes the flows of money between sectors within a region’s 
economy.

Using each industry’s production function
•
I-O models also determine the proportions of sales that go and salary 
income, proprietor’s income, and taxes. 
•
Multipliers can be estimated from input-output models based on the 
estimated re-circulation of spending within the region
