Dream11 wins IPL 2020 title sponsorship rights 

Fantasy sports platform Dream11 has signed a 
₹222-crore deal with BCCI for title sponsorship 
rights for the upcoming season of IPL. 

The IPL will be held from September 19 to 
November 10, 2020, in the UAE. 

Vivo, which annually paid ₹440 crore, dropped 
out as title sponsor due to the Sino-India border 
stand-off. 
Five nominated for Khel Ratna 

5 names have been nominated for Rajiv Gandhi 
Khel Ratna Award, while 29 were recommended 
for Arjuna, by the selection committee on 18 Aug 
2020. 

Rohit Sharma, Vinesh Phogat, Rani Rampal, 
Manika Batra and T Mariyappan were 
recommended for the highest sporting honour of 
the country. 

Ishant Sharma, Atanu Das, Dutee Chand, Manish 
Kaushik, Manu Bhaker, etc. are among the 29 in 
fray for Arjuna. 
Manduadih Railway Station gets a new name 

The Union Home Ministry has approved the 
renaming of Manduadih railway station in Uttar 
Pradesh as 'Banaras'.

The UP govt had sent a request for renaming the 
railway station in Varanasi district. 

A 'no objection certificate' has been issued for 
changing the name of the railway station. 

Mughalsarai Junction is another station whose 
name was changed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay 
junction in 2017. 
Property damage claim tribunals in UP 

CM Yogi Adityanath has approved the 
constitution of the property damage claims 
tribunal in Lucknow and Meerut. 

This is as per the provisions of Uttar Pradesh 
Public and Private Property Damage Recovery 
Rules 2020. 

The Meerut tribunal will have jurisdiction over 
Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh, Moradabad, 
Bareilly, and Agra divisions.
