Introit
As the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after thee. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship thee. You alone are my strength, my shield; to you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire and I long to worship thee.

Prayer Joys and Concerns
Silent Prayer
Morning Prayer and Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. AMEN
Prayer Response
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me,
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Amen, Amen, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Amen, Amen, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Please take time to register your attendance. Attendance books are located in each pew at the center aisle.
If anyone needs to contact Pastor Jack for any reason at all, his cell phone number is 724-448-4934 and email is jtickle@pts.edu. Do not hesitate to call even if you just need to talk!
College Addresses!
It is that time of year already! College students are returning to school and we need their addresses to send out care packages. Whether they are a member of this church, not a member, staying on campus, or staying at home; we still need their addresses! This is a very important ministry of the church that shows our college students how much we care for them. You can email them to southgreensburgumc@gmail.com or turn them into the church office.
Cleaning and Set-Up
In preparation for the making of Pumpkin Rolls the kitchen and dining room areas will be cleaned and set-up Wednesday, October 30th beginning at noon. This area will not be available for use once the cleaning is completed. If you are willing to help with the project, please bring cleaning cloths with you. The cleaning will include both refrigerators and freezer. If any organization has items stored in either refrigerator and or the freezer, these items must be removed prior to October 30. Any items remaining will be disposed of when the cleaning begins.
Halloween Candy
We are collecting candy and snacks to pack bags of candy to hand out here at the church for Halloween. The youth will be packing the bags on Sunday afternoon October 27th so we need to have the candy in by then. Anyone who would like to help handing out the candy can contact Pastor Jack and let him know.
Welcoming Service
Today at 4:00 pm, the First United Methodist Church of Manor will host the Greensburg District Welcoming Service for all pastors appointed to the district. This will include Pastor Jack. The congregation is invited to the Worship Celebration. Refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
Funeral Dinner Coordinator
We have an amazing ministry here for providing a meal when there is a funeral. Currently there is a need for someone to take over leading this group. The main responsibilities would be buying the main food items, contacting the rest of the group, and helping set up and cook for it. For more information, contact Nancy Aleandri or Pastor Jack.
Pumpkin Rolls
It’s the time of year when we turn our thoughts to Pumpkin Rolls. We will be baking the week of November 4th and the cost is $8.50 per roll. Please place your orders no later than Wednesday, October 23rd using the order sheet in the back of the sanctuary or by calling Margie Howard at 724-834-1196. For those who sell, forms are available in the Heritage Room. As always we need your prayers and support for the project.
If able, please volunteer a few hours of your time. A volunteer sign-up sheet is also available in the back of the sanctuary. If you wish you can also support us with donations of flour, granulated and powdered sugar that can be dropped off in the Heritage Room. All proceeds go directly into the General Fund of the church. Any questions please see any member of the Fundraiser Committee (Dorie Flock, Margie Howard, Linda Morris, Jane Thomas or Linda Washabaugh). Thank you in advance for your cooperation and help.
Meals on Wheels
Our Jell-O for Meals on Wheels Mission Project will begin again in October. The second and fourth Monday of each month we make a delicious Jell-O salad, in individual servings, for the recipients of Tri-City Meals on Wheels. Many compliments continue to be received from those receiving the dessert and Meals on Wheels for the caring way we, as a church, are reaching out to help others. We ask that you keep this project in your prayers as we once again reach out in service to friends, family, neighbors, and our community.
