Imagine is a year-round grief support center for children and adults located in Westfield NJ and serving all surrounding communities. Founded in 2011 as a nonprofit corporation, we offer peer grief support programs for children and their parents dealing with the loss of a family member due to death. One of 500 organizations worldwide based on the Dougy Center model in Portland Oregon, we are the fourth year-round grief support center to open in New Jersey.

Services: Center activities include ongoing year-round peer support groups designed to help children and teens ages 3-18 mourn their loss, share feelings and memories, and learn ways of coping and growing through their grief. Sufficient time is given for self-directed play, drama, art, music, journaling and other forms of expression. Parent/guardian groups run in conjunction with children's groups. Young adult groups 18-30 are also available. Groups are led by trained volunteer facilitators who have completed 30 hours of training. Use a peer support model and do not provide therapy or counseling. Referrals to mental health professionals are made according to individual needs. Good Grief staff is on site at all times.

HIGH FOCUS CENTERS is the premier provider of structured outpatient substance abuse and mental illness treatment programs in New Jersey.
Psychiatrist Services- Our adolescent psychiatric programs provide services for those teens with major psychiatric problems. Patients admitted to our programs undergo psychological testing and are seen by a psychiatrist for an initial evaluation and then on-going throughout treatment.
Family Programs- The needs of the family are always addressed at HFC and are often a critical factor in successful treatment. Our goal is to help foster a family system that is supportive of treatment. We provide an opportunity for the family as a whole to begin to reorganize around more mutually satisfying and productive interactions.
Transportation- HFC assists busy parents with transporting their children to our facilities. In our Partial Day Programs, we provide transportation for adolescents to and from the facility. In our psychiatric and substance abuse Intensive Outpatient Programs, we provide transportation from either school or home to our facility and parents pick up their children at the end of the treatment evening.
