Reasons why they are effective/ ineffective in
English lesson

A) I read all texts aloud.

Slows a reader; brain can work faster.

B) I keep my eyes moving past the words I don’t know to understand the main ideas.

Understanding main ideas first can help a reader understand details later.

C) I ask my teacher for help
whenever I meet a word I don’t
know.

Learner becomes dependent on his/her Teacher.

D) I look at titles, subtitles, pictures and other visuals before reading.

Can help to prepare a reader for reading.



E) I use my finger to help my eyes follow lines of the text.

 Sum up the stage saying that now participants know which learning strategies are effective. Encourage them to help their pupils use them when they read.
