A curriculum vitae is a document that gives a summary of a job seekers
career history, academic qualifications and also explains their future potential.
Indeed the phrase ‘’curriculum vitae ‘’ is Latin for ‘’the story of your life ‘’. It is
also occasionally known as a resume, although this term is more commonly
used in America. [ 1 ]
A comleted CV aims to express recruiters and is sent as an application to
jobs adverts or as a speculative approach to prospective companies. CVs are
valuable and important because they are your first and maybe only direct
communication with a potential employer. Presentation is key. For this reason
alone it should be carefully thought out, desighned and written so that it makes
an immediate positive impact on key decision makers. When a reader looks at
your resume they should be able to quickly gain a clear indication of your
experiences and potential. Bear in mind that the person reading it will never
have met you, so keep it grammatically error free and focused, as it will be seen
as a reflection of you as a person.

People who have applied a CV have probabaly confrontant some
problems which given CV letters. Sometimes they couldn't understand
comletely what they write to the sections. For example, eduvational
background. Period- we should apply our graduated university/ institute/
collage. Major- is speciality ( interpreter, manager, dentist)
Degree- bachelor, politician.
Moreover, anyone who has written a CV has probabaly had to overcome
a number of challenges- whether they be lack of work experience, gaps in
empoyment or explaininga short stint that didn't work out.
Facing these issues when writimg your CV does not mean you are not
aworthy employee, it just means that you must find ways to explain areas that
may appear nagative to recruiters. If you are struggling to explain
discrepancies on your CV, the following examples will show how you canreflect
your experience more positively.
Furthermore, this problems appear students. Students or new grads
often do not have enough substance to add to their CV, due to their lack of
experience. Acckrdingly, they try to fill the void by including irrelevant
information. One of the biggest mistakes for students is to wait until graduation
time to take a hard look at their CVs. They should start "planning" their CVs
earlier and accumulate relevant experience or qualifications so that when the
time comes for them to apply to their first position, post- gradustion they have
someting concrete to show, beyond their degree.
