Work, family, hobby - finding a balance between these components of life can be quite a challenge. And often it is necessary to maneuver between the solution of questions from different spheres. Work takes about a third of our life time, mostly well-defined, and at the same time is a source of income.
Family for many is a source of support, love and comfort. Hobbies bring joy, pleasure and realization of potential, which may not be involved in work processes. It would seem difficult to set priorities, but still it has to be done periodically. HeadHunter Ukraine asked the users of the site what place their work takes in their life, what they like in it, and whether they continued to work if there was no need for financial support for themselves and their families.
If we talk about priorities, the palm went to "family", "work" received silver, and "hobby" - bronze. In percentage terms, it looks like this: 59% of respondents chose a family, 34% - work, 7% - a hobby. In second place, 53% of respondents placed work, 31% - family, 16% - hobby. On the 3rd place, the majority (77%) have a hobby, 13% have a job, and 10% have a family.
Whatever place in the subjective rating is occupied by work, it is not only a source of financial support, but also a place for the realization of knowledge, skills and ambitions, and also for gaining experience. Half of the respondents (51%) go to work willingly. But 39% go to work without much desire. 10% of respondents could not give a definite answer: willingly or not, and explained that the mood varies from mood, external circumstances. Among other answers, there are some: with tension, with a mood to earn, with a sense of fear, etc.
In the life of a modern person, work is by no means the last. The temptations and benefits of civilization more and more, just manage to earn money. And what is needed for this? Correct, work! So the young and middle-aged people are trying to work longer and more productively, to save for new repairs, and for vacation, but not at grandma's dacha, but at least in a three-star hotel, but by the sea ... These are the realities of the working man. And sometimes to earn something other than bread and butter, it is very difficult.
On the other hand, more and more people are moving away from the vision of work simply as a way of earning, shifting towards self-realization, unleashing their own potential (we wrote about search and disclosure of the purpose here). In this case, the actual number of banknotes in salary does not play a primary role, and certainly does not affect the decision to change jobs. Why, if work brings proper satisfaction, there is a feeling of being needed and the importance of what you are doing?
So it turns out two camps: some run in search of more or less decent earnings, if necessary, immediately changing the place of deployment. Why wait if someone promises a salary more impressive? The second time may not offer ...
Others are looking for a place where you can open your abilities as fully as possible. This is how specialists from God come out, whose work, with the right approach, is very valuable and important. And their contacts are carefully passed from hand to hand by word of mouth, recommending as professionals. Although, alas, there is a reverse situation - when a person is so blinded by the idea of finding “his place” that he does not notice the real options and does not have time to achieve mastery of anything. Just tossing from one corner to another, nowhere and not bringing particular benefits. But he is driven by the idea to find his vocation sooner or later. Who knows, maybe sometime and will find? God forbid, but ... hardly.
Whatever it was, the representatives of all these types of work takes a solid layer of life. Whether they like it or not, question two. But in my head "spinning" constantly.
There are, of course, those who even think: the horses die from work. And a man has nothing to do with it. Remember the various free "artists", interrupted from bread to water. I do not mean now freelancers, people working at home, and other “remote workers” - they (or rather, us) have a job, and she is loved! After all, frankly, without the love of art, forcing yourself to work at home is virtually impossible. But those who are interrupted by very casual earnings, have been walking in moccasins for forty years and argue that the mortal world is not for him, it is from another opera. Well, their choice is also a choice, no one has the right to judge. And the article for parasitism was canceled long ago, if that.
At what, note, in our society, by default, it is clear that work is an important part of a person’s life, regardless of gender. There are almost no people left with a single employment record. But with the “bloated” books - enough. Both men and women are effectively building a career on an equal footing, earning money, satisfying their own ambitions. Although, of course, there are those who prefer to "serve" at home, husband, family and children. Such an approach also deserves respect and acceptance.
And yet, are there differences in male and female view of work? And in relation to her? Let's figure it out.
