However, later Navoi FEZ, Angren SEZ and Jizzakh SEZ were established in 
the country with high potential and unique advantages. 
The first free economic zone in the country is the Navoi free economic zone. 
The recent decree provides for the establishment of new high-tech production 
facilities in the economic zone, the rapid development of communications, road 
transport, social infrastructure and logistics services. [4] 
Later, acting President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev "On 
additional measures to intensify and expand the activities of free economic zones." 
Decree No. PF-4853 of October 26, 2016 was adopted. [2]

The territory of Navoi region should be designated as a free economic zone for 
innovative, high-tech, export-oriented and import-substituting industries by January 
1, 2030, with the possibility of further extension in the prescribed manner. [3]

It is known from the long historical past that the territory of the present Navoi 
region is connected to Central Europe by two branches of the Great Silk Road, 
namely the first line from China and India in the northern direction of the Caspian 
and Black Seas. , Is located on the trade route of the second network of the southern 
route, which connects China with the countries of Southern Europe, the Middle East 
and North Africa along the Mediterranean. Even today, an international transport 
corridor passes through the territory of this region, which connects the countries of 
Central Asia, and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan are 
carried out through these routes. . In addition, these international routes provide 
access to ports in Iran, the Middle East, South Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region, as 
well as Russia and the Baltic states. For this purpose, the first FEZ was established in 
Navoi, where economic activity in the country has stopped.

As an intermodal hub, this FEZ is located at the international airport, close to 
the E-40 highway and the international railway, in order to make the most of its 
potential. The airport is equipped with modern technical and technological 
equipment, meets international standards and has a range of 4,000 meters in length 
and 45 meters in width for the reception of all types of aircraft. In addition, the
