The standard for project management

Responsibility. 

An assignment that can be delegated within a project management plan such that the assigned resource 

incurs a duty to perform the requirements of the assignment.

Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM). 

A grid that shows the project resources assigned to each work package.

Result. 

An output from performing project management processes and activities. Results include outcomes (e.g., 

integrated systems, revised process, restructured organization, tests, trained personnel, etc.) and documents 

(e.g., policies, plans, studies, procedures, specifications, reports, etc.). See also deliverable.

Rework. 

Action taken to bring a defective or nonconforming component into compliance with requirements  

or specifications.

Risk. 

An uncertain event or condition that, if it occurs, has a positive or negative effect on one or more project objectives.
