Three routes are available to lead you on a scenic tour of some of Connecticut’s most beautiful and productive farmland. Stop at local farms and get to know the diversity of Connecticut’s agricultural production. You can shop for local produce as you ride and we will pick up your purchases and deliver them back to the gathering spot for you.

Proceeds from the ride will go to support the King’s Mark Resource Conservation and Development program and Farmland Preservation.

Some Of The Farms On The Routes
Freund’s Farm Market & Bakery – This farm features a complete garden & greenhouse center with annuals & perennials, soil products including their own dairy compost. Seasonal fruits & vegetables, locally produced honey, maple syrup & eggs. The bakery makes pies, cookies, cakes, breads, jams & pickles. April - Dec. daily 9am - 6pm.
Land of Nod Farm & Winery – This farm has been owned & farmed for 8 generations. They offer maple syrup, raspberries, & grapes. There is an established winery on the premises with free wine tasting & gift items. Open most holidays. April-Oct.31^st Fri-Sun 11am-5pm.
Zinke’s Homegrown – Bruce Zinke has been farming since the early 1950s. This 47 acre farm features vegetables, pumpkins, apples, raspberries, blueberries, and is known locally for their butternut squash.
Ford Farm – This scenic 200 acre vegetable farm began 30 years ago. The farm stand offers a variety of vegetables, apples, apple cider, pumpkins, and gourds.
Pine Meadow Farm – This farm specializes in Polled Herefords. Buy fresh eggs or fresh cut beef.
Dean’s Farm Stand – George Dean has been farming this 86 acre farm for over 30 years. The farm stand offers fresh vegetables & fruit, pumpkins, fall and winter squash, honey, maple syrup, and Indian corn.
Rustling Wind Creamery – This creamery offers raw milk; several varieties of cow and goat cheese; jams, jellies, chutneys, and fudge. Sorry, no ice cream. Handmade wool garments and goat soaps also available.

Ridgway Farm LLC – This scenic 100 acre farm has been owned and operated by Gordon Ridgway for over 30 years. Mr. Ridgway has also been the First Selectman of Cornwall for 19 years. His ‘self serve’ farm stand features a variety of vegetables and cut flowers.

Ride options are a 12 mile route; a 25 mile route; and a metric century or 62 mile route with stops at livestock, flower, fruit and vegetable farms.
