Mihaly  Csikszentmihalyi  of  the  University  of  Chicago  wrote  an  excellent
book,

Classics, 2008). Peak experience is a form of “natural high” that causes you to
feel  absolutely  terrific  about  yourself,  and  it  gives  you  a  wonderful  overall
feeling  of  well-being  and  happiness.  The  causes  of  this  effect  are  now  well
known.
