The Objective of the Course The objective of the course is to further develop, consolidate and systematize students’ knowledge of grammatical structures in a foreign language taking into account all three dimensions of language syntax/ morphology (form), semantics (meaning), and pragmatics (use). The present course emphasizes the interdependence of grammar and communication and is designed to develop the ability to use appropriate grammatical structures in the process of communication. Particular attention will be paid to those grammar themes that present difficulties to advanced learners.
Preconditions for the Acquisition of the Course Successful acquisition of a secondary school program in the 1st foreign language.
The Scope of the Course 2 terms, 64 hours of practical classes, two academic hours per week during the 1st semester and the 2nd semester.

The Type of Assessment A written test at the end of each semester. Two progress tests during each semester.
