Thank you Mr. Chairman; I appreciate the opportunity to share with you and your fellow 

Commissioners the results of recent research I have undertaken with my colleague, Myriam 

Quispe-Agnoli, who is also here in the audience, on the issue of the impact and experience of 

undocumented workers here in the United States. 

Before I begin, let me stress that the statements I make today are my own and do not 

represent the opinions or policy of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, or of the Federal 

Reserve System. Further, the motivation for undertaking this research was to inform the 

policy discussion, not to make specific policy recommendations.
