Wonderful Tashkent
The Kukaldosh madrasah has long served as an example of the ancient parts of the capital. In the 10th century, one of the famous city gates was located here. The madrasah was built in Tashkent in the 16th century during the reign of the Shaibani dynasty. The construction was led by the Prime Minister, known as the "green brother". He was a close relative of the rulers of Tashkent, Barakkhan and Darvishkhan. This is how the name of the madrasa came from. Many legends are associated with the activities of the madrasa. Elders in the area say there have been massacres in the madrassa area in the past. Traitors were thrown from the tallest tower to embarrass the women and set an example for the locals. According to another legend, a pistachio tree growing in one of the domes of the madrasah was considered sacred. On one of the inner walls of the madrasa we can see an inscription similar to the ancient Roman proverb - "Ars longa - vita brevia": "Death is inevitable, but man-made labor will last forever".Today, Kukaldosh Madrasah is one of the largest architectural monuments in the capital. This high-rise building, building of baked bricks, was built on the principles of Muslim religious institutions: a large inner courtyard - surrounded by rooms and classrooms. In front of the building, the height of the entrance roof is almost 20 meters, where there are corner towers on both sides of the traditional carved porches. The windows of the building are protected from the sun by carvings with the names of Allah and His Prophet Muhammad, which are sacred to any believer. The madrasah has witnessed many events throughout its history, including civil wars and disasters, the madrasa was destroyed several times by earthquakes, and the caravanserai was also located here. In the 19th century, the building became the residence of the Kokand khans. After some time, this building partly destroyed because of the Tashkent rebels. During the years of independence, Kukaldosh madrasah was completely renovated by the efforts of Tashkent masters. And it was decided to return the status of a religious institution to the madrasa.
Today, muezzins calling Muslims to prayer can be heard reciting the call to prayer, and classes and various religious ceremonies are held in the rooms.
Conclusion
In short, we have a history that shakes the world. We have ancestors like Jaloliddin Manguberdi, Amir Temur, Shirak, who love their homeland and sacrifice their lives for it. We are always proud of them. But sometimes we are somehow forgetting our glorious history. We are not visiting the historical monuments of our country. But we should keep in mind that we will go to the future through the steps of history. In the words of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganievich Karimov, "there is no future without history."
Therefore, we must remember history at all times and respect it. After all, this is the first step towards a bright future.
