Translation study has been an enormous importance in the modern world and it is a subject of interest not only for linguists, professional and amateur translators and language teachers, but also to electric engineer and mathematician. This subject involves a very board field of studies such as linguistic and cultural studies. Translation studies have been considered as an activity that is undoubtedly diverse. Therefore, in translating a text from the source language into target language, any person should know and understand at least both the language and the culture of the target language.
Not all research in the country fully meets the current high level of development of science. For the introduction of simultaneous translation in practice, it is necessary to get more knowledge, everything in learning language and culture of this country. This is evident in the widespread application of scientific and qualified specialists of the country.
Of course, today's life in education is unimaginable without learning foreign languages. Especially in the twenty-first century, education has become much more advanced. At the same time, studying a foreign language can increase cultural knowledge and can help you feel more confident when travelling. It’s also a fact that learning a second language improves brain functionality. Studies show that people who speak more than one language have improved memory, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, enhanced concentration, ability to multitask and better listening skills.
In today's globalization, English is a global language.English is spoken at a useful level by some 1.75 billion people worldwide – that’s one in every four! Being able to speak English is not just about being able to communicate with native English speakers – if you want to speak to someone from another country then the chances are that you will both be speaking English to do this. In particular, studying English can help you get a job, English is thelanguage of science, aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Knowing English increases your chances of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or of finding work abroad. This is due to the fact that the documents related to the products provided to consumers are required by law to be in the national language. As this process improves, the translation of terms in the field of home appliances from English into Uzbek is also finding its solution and developing. Since English is spoken in so many different countries there are lots of schools and universities around the world that offer programmes in English. If you have a good level of academic English, there are lots of opportunities for you to find an appropriate school and course to suit your needs. In addition, many of the world’s prestigious universities are situated in English-speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, United States and Australia. To earn a position at one of these prestigious universities it is paramount to be able to read, write, speak and listen in English.
This research paper deals with the problems and methods of translation of house hold appliances terms from English to Uzbek. It also provides information about the role and importance of the term in scientific and technical translation, the formation of the term. It should be noted that the terms of home appliances, in general, technical terms are not yet perfectly expressed in our language; many technical terms have been and are being indirectly translated into our language through Russian. It is worth noting the role of the Russian language as a tool in the translation of technical terms in English. In addition, as a result of improvements in smart technologies, the range of terms that can be learned directly from the English language is much wider (blender, toaster, HD, USB).
