The  Zr  and  N  content  was  6.9%  and  2.5%  respectively,  and 

the percentage of ionic liquid immobilized on perlite surfaces 

was about 1.25%. Further, amount of zirconium loading  was 

0.4  mol%  on  perlite  surfaces.  The  catalyst  was  tested  in  the 

reaction of substituted benzaldehydes
