Statement of intent literature review procedures and process

The scientific novelty of the work is conditioned by following:

  The importance of games in teaching speaking skills has been proven;
  
• 
  Peculiarities of developing speaking skills by using game methods have been revealed;
  
• 
  The increased interest of pupils to improving speaking skill has been revealed.
  

The choice of the topic for this study is motivated by several factors:

• 
  The study responds to the increased demand in the use of games into the language learning process to meet the new educational needs for teaching speaking skills;
  
• 
  The study may motivate other researchers to reconsider the interaction game technologies into the teaching speaking skill process;
  
• 
  Game involvement in speaking learning may help teachers to teach pupils speaking skill without old traditional ways of teaching.
  

Hypothesis
Pupils’ acquisition of speaking skills will be easier and more effective if certain developments in the field of game technologies are used in foreign language lessons.
The literature review of this qualification paper provided general information about the usage of games in teaching speaking skills at 4^th grade learners, scientific researches, reliable facts, approaches to teaching speaking skill, the differences between traditional ways of teaching speaking skill and with the help of games , analyses and is able to give advice to teachers about how to use games effectively in their speaking teaching processes, to define the idea and opinions of English teachers and learners about performance based assessment and compare them. According to some hypothesis presented in the previous section motivation of usage of game technologies in developing 4^th grade pupils’ speaking skills not only assists to create positive learning atmosphere, but also helps students be interested and learn with almost no effort.
