The relevance is due to the fact that the use of game technologies in our time has become quite widespread and listening as a process that is part of oral communication is used in any oral communication. Therefore, it is important to find methods and ways to use game technologies in teaching speaking skills in foreign language lessons.
The problem of the study is the lack and insufficient development of simple and effective methods for teaching speaking with the help of game technologies at 4th grade learners.
The subject matter of the study is the process of teaching speaking skills to school pupils using game technologies.
The practical part of this qualification paper focuses on defining the usage of games in teaching speaking skills at 4th grade learners at schools in Uzbekistan context.
The main aim of the study is to cover the possibilities of game technologies in education system in order to use them at the English lessons for improvement of pupils’ speaking skills.
The purpose of the study is to verify and to define the usage of games in teaching speaking skills at 4th grade learners in the theoretical part and used in the lessons were effective in term of learners’ language progress and their general satisfaction with the lessons. Moreover, the degree of reliability of stated Hypothesis: the usage of game methods in developing speaking skill process not only assists to create positive learning atmosphere, but also helps pupils be interested and learn with almost no effort will be proved by the experiments done with pupils of 4th grade during two months at school № 34 in Nukus city, Karakalpakstan Republic. The practical part also aims to discover if all learners felt involved in the lessons and activities, if the offer of materials and topics was interesting to learners and if the overall atmosphere in the lessons was pleasant and contributed to their language improvement. The study on the interacting games into the speaking skill learning process in teaching foreign languages is expected to serve several objectives:
To study the theoretical aspects of using game technologies;
To analyze the practical use of games during English speaking classes;
To investigate pupils’ attitude to games applied learning sphere;
To select proper approaches to provide speaking classes effectively;
To adopt materials according to the subject matter and level of the learners;
To observe English speaking processes and analyze their needs;
To investigate to what extent teachers integrate game technologies in speaking skills into English lessons.
