ANALYSIS OF THE PRE-TEST (EXPERIMENTAL GROUP)
The first step to check pupils’ background knowledge was pre-test stage. 15 tests was about filling the gaps and multiple choice question while the other 15 ones was speaking cards to check 4th grade pupils speaking abilities. The following table discusses the results of experimental class from the pre-test stage.

Figure21. The results of the Pre-test 4”A”
Through the following formula the overall score is identified:
16+17+15+20+19+15+20+17+18+15+21+19+20+23+17
------------------------------------------------------------------------ = 18.1
15
As it is obvious from the formula, the average score of the group is 18.1 out of 30 from the pre-test stage of experimental group.

Figure22. Frequency distribution of the Pre-test 4”A”
A glance from the figure shows the frequency distribution of score values of pre-test examination from 4”A” experimental group. According to the results, 3 pupils gathered the lowest score 15 while the highest one 23 was gained by one pupil. The score 16 was gained by one student, score 17 was taken by 3 pupils, score 18 was gathered by one student. However, 2 pupils took 19 score whereas the score 20 was gathered by 3 pupils. The last one student took the score 21.

The overall pre-test results are presented in table 8. It is clear that, the mean score of the experimental group is 18. Due to its repetition for 3 times the score 15, 17 and 20 are mode scores. Median of the group is 18. The lowest score of the group is 15 whereas the highest one is 23. The range score is 9.
From the results I can say that, the results were poor, although the questions were not so complex and not from unfamiliar subjects and only around two or three pupils could collect high scores than the others because according to them, they go to extra English classes.

Figure23. The results of the Pre-test 4”B”
Through the following formula the overall score is identified:
21+15+22+17+21+15+18+22+22+16+21+22+16+20+18
------------------------------------------------------------------------- =19
15
As it is obvious from the formula, the average score of the control group 4”B” is 19 out of 30 from the pre-test stage.
