History has become more apparent these days. Some people hold that history should be set as the most important subject in school curriculum, whereas other school of thought believes that subjects associated with science and technology are more crucial than history. These two views will be elaborated in this essay before conclusion is drawn.

Admittedly, history can offer major aspects that students can benefit. As a first point, history can increase students’ critical thinking and broaden their horizons. Since history could appear as an imagination of students, they are apt to analyze past events. Specifically, they can learn how errors occurred and successes achieved. Additionally, history can provide information more about the origins of the culture as well as society. That is to say, students can comprehend how social and cultural differences evolved as they, consequently, turn out to be a sense of patriotism and self-realization. In these cases, history can obviously be the betterment of the subjects.

Nonetheless, scientific and technological subjects can also be found as useful. To begin with, thanks to the advancements made in technology and science courses, household chores and different labour-intensive tasks could be eased. People might begin meeting their needs more smoothly than ever before, thus leading to the increased longevity, which means that people will be less involved in risky tasks that are more perilous. Furthermore, some fields of a particular country can also be affected by science-based subjects. For instance, engineering could be utilized in relieving famine, construction facilities and space exploration. Moreover, science-based and technological subjects might help blue-collar workers prevent from hazardous and unfavorable tasks in their workplace. Hence, improvements in technology and science can serve as outstanding factors in our life.

In conclusion, it is true that history can help students develop comprehensively, whereas I hold that science-based subjects should be counted as vital ones, as they offer developments in people’s lives in different cases.
