Education is a procedure of learning where knowledge, skills, and habits move from one generation to the other. Moreover, education is essential for the overall development of a human being. For instance, their personal, social as well as the economic development of the country. If we talk about the importance of education in our daily life, we have to admit that it improves our personal lives and helps in running the societies smoothly by protecting everyone including ourselves from the harmful and unexpected events

The major types of education system are as follows:

Formal Education: Formal education is basically a practice of learning where a human learns basic, academic or some trade skills for his living. Formal education or formal learning initiates at the basic level. Further, it continues till the college or university level where people study bachelor and master courses. It comes under a certain combination of rules and regulations and it may provide a formal degree after the completion of the course. It is provided by the teachers that are highly qualified and educated and are under strict discipline as well.

Informal Education: Informal education is the type of education where people are not studying in a specific school or a college. They do not use any specific learning method or technique. When a father teaches his son how to ride a bicycle or a mother teaches her daughter how to cook food, then these learnings fall under the category of Informal Education. A person can get informal education by reading some books from any library or any educational website on the internet. However, unlike the formal education, informal education has no particular syllabus or any specific time period for learning.

Have you ever been to any island?

Yes, I have! Actually, I lived on an island for 3 months back in 2016. My mother was offered to work at a resort for 2 years, so I joined them there for 3 months. Island life was quite an interesting experience!

Are there any islands in your country?

Yes, there are. There is one famous island called X, famed for its crystal clear water and white sands. I’ve heard the pagodas are very interesting to visit there, as well. I haven’t been yet, but I dream of going there for a girls getaway (when women go on a trip together) sometime in the future.

Do you want to live on an island if you have a chance?

Not really. Islands are beautiful, but I felt really isolated (separated from others) when I lived on one before. As I’m an active person, I felt there wasn’t much to do. Sure, the beach is great, but it gets boring day after day.

What do you like to do when you are on an island?

Beach of course! Behind that, I like getting to know the local culture and food. I especially enjoy drinking coconut water fresh off the palm trees and trying local fish recipes. Moreover, I enjoy getting hair braided (hairstyle) by local people.

What languages can you speak?

Well, aside from my native language and English, I can also speak Spanish in conversational level. I studied that language as my minor subject in college for four years. Actually, when I was a high school student, I was an avid fan of watching some TV dramas from Spain and I fell in love with the Spanish culture and that influenced me to take up Spanish language as my secondary language subject in college.

Do you think it’s difficult to learn a language?

Yes it is difficult and for some people it’s more complicated than they thought. I believe no one claims it’s easy unless one is born genius in learning languages. And that’s because the sentence construction, vocabulary, pronunciation, and other aspects of a language that one is learning are different from his mother tongue. Actually, experiencing the challenges in learning a new language is just normal.

Will you learn other languages in the future?

Yes I will! I’m not closing the door on things that can contribute to my growth. I’m thinking of learning Japanese simply because I want to understand the Japanese culture even more. I always believe that to understand one country’s culture, one should learn the local language and if you can speak their language, it’s easy for you to establish rapport with them.
