4. Financial support from the European Community
Please note that according to the new financial regulation applicable to the general budget of the European Communities, one project may not receive more than one grant from the budget of the European Communities to any one beneficiary. In other words, if you are to be selected to receive a Socrates grant for a given project, you must not receive a grant from another Community programme for the same project and funding period.
Has the proposal, or any aspect thereof or any larger project to which it may belong, already been supported in the past by the European Community?
No
Yes. Please specify the programme, date, type of activity (e.g. preparatory visit) and, if possible, contract number(s):
This is a proposal for a dissemination year of an Erasmus Thematic Network which is now in its third year and hence the work which it proposes to disseminate has received support from the European Commission in the past.
Related to this project, but not identical, are its predecessor, the PROG (ex-CDI) entitled CLIOH, which is now in its fourth, dissemination year, and hence was supported for the three preceding years. The Network has also received funding in the past for several Socrates Intensive programmes, and, under the Culture 2000 programme, has participated in the Clioh’s Workshop I and II projects, of which the beneficiary was Edizioni Plus, the University of Pisa publishing house.
We should mention furthermore that CLIOHnet participated in Tuning 1 and in TEEP 2002.
|
Is this proposal, or any aspect thereof or any larger project to which it may belong, currently being supported under the SOCRATES Programme or some other European Community programme?
No
Yes. Please specify the programme, date, type of activity (e.g. preparatory visit) and, if possible, contract number(s):
At present we are in the third year of the CLIOHNET ETN project which is supported by the European Commission. Many of the partners, though not all, participate in the dissemination year of the CLIOH PROG project; many of the partners participate in a Socrates Intensive Programme to be held in Madrid in March 2004; on account of the Network, the University of Turku has successfully applied for an e-Learning project which includes 7 CLIOHnet partners plus the Finnish virtual University, and which intends to disseminate its results to CLIOHNET, and which will begin on 1 October 2004.
CLIOHNET now participates in Tuning 2.
|
Is this proposal, or any aspect thereof or any larger project to which it may belong, currently the subject of any other application for support from the European Community?
No
Yes. Please specify the programme(s) and provide details under Section 2 Table 2.
This proposal for a dissemination year of the ETN CLIOHNET is presented only here.
Other ‘spinoff’ proposals are the following (as explained in greater detail in the present proposal itself):
-The University of Malta, with six other members of the Network is now presenting a pilot PROG for a second cycle degree in Mediterranean History Studies under the acronym EMMHS;
- many members of the Network have presented a proposal for a Research Network of Excellence (entitled CLIOHRES.net) to the Sixth Framework programme.
-The Edizioni Plus have presented a Culture 2000 project entitled ‘Clioh’s (e)Bookshelf’.
Furthermore, as explained in the present proposal in greater detail, CLIOHNET has taken an active role in organising the European Archipelago of Humanistic Thematic Networks and in this connection intends to present or participate in the presentation of a proposal with the other TNS under the ‘Accompanying Measures’.
CLIOHNET also supports a proposal presented to ‘Alfa’, entitles Tuning-Latin America, in which some of its members will participate if the project is approved.
