General

Please see attached Excel tool, as supplied by the EACEA.

It should be explained that we did not use the financial tables within this document but instead used an Excel tool recommended and supplied by the EACEA.

We have completed the summary of expenditure (above) but the complete data are held within the Excel tool.

Staff Costs

We have an enormous contribution in kind for Staff Costs from the partners. (€580,821.260) This reflects the unique strength of the MEDINE network and the way that the team has worked together and given up so much of their time to contribute to this excellent project. It also shows that we could not have achieved the aims of the project given the allowance for Staff Costs.

We have spent (from the grant of €132,027.00) €128,7028.190, and received contributions in kind of €580,821.260 total: €709,529.450.
Other Costs

The expenditure in Other Costs spread between the Direct Costs heading has had approval as acceptable under the rules of the contract.

Exchange rates used:

When calculating any expenditure we have used the European Commission’s website:

http://ec.europa.eu/budget. We used the monthly rate applicable to the month that the expenditure took place.

  • Task Force 3: Quality Assurance published the European Specifications for the WFME Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education, throughout its continuum and conducted a survey among European Authorities about existing quality assurance, including accreditation of medical education programmes.

  • Task Force 4: Transparency developed The MedEdCentral online international database for medical education, an arena for debate as well as information and survey activity.

  • Task Force 5: Research developed a tool for use by medical schools to benchmark against peer institutions to establish relative research environments offered to students.
