THEME: MUCH / MANY / (A) LITTLE / (A) FEW


Ingliz tilida otlar oldidan miqdorni ifodalash uchun gumon olmoshlari ishlatilib, ular orasida eng keng tarqalganlaridan biri:
Muih / Many va Littcle / Few olmoshlaridir.

1. 
   Muih – ko’p degan ma’noda sanalmaydigan birlikdagi otlar oldidan, asosan, so’roq va bo’lishsiz gaplarda ishlatiladi:
   

How much money have you got? There isn’t much sugar in the bowl!

2. 
   Many – ko’p degan ma’noda sanaladigan ko’plikdagi otlar oldidan, asosan, so’roq va bo’lishsiz gaplarda ishlatiladi:
   

Are there many books on the shelf? There aren’t many books on the shelf!

3. 
   A clot of / Lots of – ko’p degan ma’noda sanaladigan va sanalmaydigan otlar oldidan, asosan, bo’lishli gaplarda ishlatiladi:
   

She has got a lot/lots of books. There is a lot of milk in the fridge.
Note: Agar a lot of ot bilan ishlatilmasa, of ni tushirib qoldiramiz:
Are there many books in the room? Yes, there are a lot.

4. 
   Littcle – kam, oz degan ma’noda sanalmaydigan otlar oldidan ishlatiladi:
   
   1. 
      a clittcle – oz, leking yetarli degan ma’noni bildiradi va positive ma’no beradi:
      

I have got a little money! I can buy some bread!

2. 
   clittcle – kam deyarli yo’q degan ma’noni bildiradi va negative ma’no beradi va very bilan ko’p holatlarda ishlatiladi:
   

They have got (very) little money. They can’t buy any bread.

5. 
   Few – kam, oz degan ma’noda sanaladigan ko’plikdagi otlar oldidan ishlatiladi:
   
   1. 
      a few - oz, leking yetarli degan ma’noni bildiradi va positive ma’no beradi:
      

There are a few tomatoes. We can make bread.

2. 
   few - kam deyarli yo’q degan ma’noni bildiradi va negative ma’no beradi va very bilan ko’p holatlarda ishlatiladi:
   

There are (very) few people in the cinema. It is almost epmty.
