particular the South of the country, Zhambyl region, has a huge potential for the 
development of viticulture, as the region has favorable natural and climatic conditions. 
This will allow not only to restore the production of wine products in the region, but 
also will allow the organization of agricultural tours with an excursion to the 
countryside and enterprises, as well as wine tasting, which is one of the characteristics 
of gastronomic tourism. Thus, to date, culinary tourism, through earlier experiments in 
gastronomy, has evolved into a large-scale tourist activity. 
It can be concluded that this definition corresponds to the position of defining 
resources for creating a tourist product. First, it describes the main specific resources 
on the basis of which agro tourist products are based, in particular natural, socio-
cultural, cultural and historical funds that exist in rural areas. Secondly, the 
characteristics of all agrotourism products are manifested in staying in rural areas and 
using resources specific to a particular locality. 
It is worth noting that agrotourism is an example of diversification of rural 
activities aimed at increasing the income of the population of villages and promoting 
the development of the local economy. Thus, the definition has two components: rural 
and tourist.
It also lays the groundwork for showing the rural flavor not only in terms of 
agrotourism, but also in terms of the main economic activities. Tourist components 
provide a range of services related to the resort: accommodation, recreation and 
various types of entertainment. In addition to the impression of the relevant service 
or object, the function of the tourist component is to make the guest feel 
comfortable.
I am engaged in agrotourism, not only foreign guests, but also local residents 
supplement their knowledge of the traditional folk culture and history of the country. 
Through income, local residents can produce additional products and provide services 
in residential buildings, such as making Souvenirs, organizing entertainment, 
demonstrating handicrafts in national costumes, and organizing food tastings. Thus,

due to agriculture and villages, the ecological situation can gain momentum to 
improve.
The motivation for the development of agrotourism in Kazakhstan is primarily 
due to the deterioration of the environmental and psychological situation in large cities. 
Urban residents tend to adapt to the environment in favorable areas. Currently, the 
elements of traditional folk culture are of interest: architecture, cuisine, craft and 
folklore [5]. 
Currently, many views related to gastronomic tourism have been formed in 
Kazakhstan. In general, gastrotourism can also be considered as a type of ecotourism 
that is organized in the countryside, based on the nature, historical and cultural 
potential of the area, offering a mandatory location for tourists visiting the 
countryside, as well as attracting local residents to tourist activities. At the same time, 
the sphere of culinary tourism in Kazakhstan is developing in close connection with 
ecotourism, agrotourism, cultural, educational and equestrian tourism. From this 
point of view, food tourism in Kazakhstan can be presented in the form of the 
following scheme, reflected in figure 1, linking this activity in the country with other 
types of tourism.
