EQUIPMENT & UNIFORMS:
The team’s uniform was well received by both swimmers and parents. All team members were enthusiastic about wearing the uniform. The pool shirt and shorts were particularly popular. Costumes for both girls and boys were readily worn and many positive comments were received about their quality and design. Pool caps presented a problem. They developed a brownish hue when they were worn in the pool. Suggest silicon caps replace these caps for next year.
The School Sport Australia Swimming Exchange organised by the Queensland Sport unit ran very smoothly and all details of the exchange were very well planned. The excursion to Dreamworld was enjoyed by all the team members and managers. The children’s behaviour on this excursion received widespread praise from members of the public and park management.
The NSW PSSA team proved to be excellent ambassadors for our State both in and out of the pool displaying a commendable level of sportsmanship.
Our team captains Michael Young and Keatyn Simpson carried out their duties in an outstanding manner. They were presented with an Eyeline Swimmer’s Package in recognition of their contribution by Simon Warren, SSA Swimming Secretary.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Phil Muller, Queensland School Sport Unit.
Simon Warren, SSA Swimming Secretary.
