EFFECTIVENESS OF "HEPADIF" HEPATATROTECTOR APPLICATION IN COMPLEX TREATMENT
OF PATIENTS CHRONIC HEPATITIS C

The purpose of the work. To analyze the effectiveness of the use of the drug "Hepadif" in the complex treatment of 
patients with chronic hepatitis C. Material and methods of research: 43 patients with chronic hepatitis C with a moderate-severe 
course of 25-55 years old were examined. Male persons were 18, female - 25. By simple blind method all patients were ran-
domized into two groups. Patients received baseline therapy. Patients of the main group received "Hepadif" intravenously at 
the rate of 8.625 mg / kg of body weight - contents of 1 vial of the drug dissolved in 400-500 ml of 5% glucose solution for 5 
days followed by taking 2 capsules 2 times a day, regardless of meal during a month Patients in the control group received 
Essentsial® forte H per capsule 3 times a day. All patients performed a complex clinical and laboratory examination with an 
assessment of the functional state of the liver. Data processing was performed statistically: the average arithmetic and its error 
were calculated. The average difference between the study groups was estimated using a two-way unpaired criterion of the 
Student. Results. Under the influence of complex treatment with the use of "Hepadif" the positive dynamics of clinical symptoms 
was noted. Thus, on the 7th day of treatment, complaints of general weakness were reported by 31.5% of the patients in the 
main group, appetite decreased - 32%, nausea - 15.8%, feeling of heaviness in the epigastrium and right hypochondrium -

24.2%. At the end of the course of treatment of nausea and feeling of heaviness, no patients noted, whereas in 12.3% of 
patients in the control group these symptoms persisted. Under the influence of treatment, the overall bilirubin values in both 
groups were likely to improve. The dynamics of changes in the activity of AlAt was likely to be positive in patients receiving 
Hepatype. It should be noted that the normalization of biochemical parameters occurred faster in the main group of patients. 
Conclusion. The use of the drug "Hepadif" contributes to a possible improvement in biochemical parameters of blood, a faster 
regression of clinical symptoms.
