3. Development of a literature lesson when studying the ballad by V.A. Zhukovsky "Svetlana".
Subject: V.A. Zhukovsky. Ballad "Svetlana"
The purpose of the lesson: to deepen ideas about the ballad, to expand the reader's interest in students
Lesson objectives:
1. Introduce students to the ballad of V.A. Zhukovsky "Svetlana"
2. To identify the characteristic features of the genre and literary direction on the example of the studied ballad
3. Improve the skills of analyzing a poetic text
4. To acquaint students with some biographical data of V.A. Zhukovsky
5. Conduct vocabulary work on the terms ballad, composition, romanticism
6. Promote the development of speech, thinking and creativity in students

- Hello guys! Please check your readiness for the lesson.
1. Posting the topic of the lesson
- Today I would like to start the lesson with a question (SLIDE No. 1) To whom are the words of A.S. Pushkin: “The captivating sweetness of his poems will pass the envious distance for centuries”? (V.A. Zhukovsky) (SLIDE #2)
- Was A.S. Pushkin's assumption justified? (Yes, and in the 21st century, Zhukovsky's works are of interest to readers)
3. Repetition of what has been learned. Preparation for the perception of the new.
- Remember, the founder of what direction in literature was V.A. Zhukovsky?
- Remember, what are the features of Russian romanticism? (SLIDE #3)
- Remember the genres of works characteristic of Zhukovsky's romanticism? (elegy, ballad)
- What is a ballad? (A small poetic work of historical, mythical or heroic content) (SLIDE No. 4)

- By today's lesson, you yourself got acquainted with the text of the ballad by V.A. Zhukovsky "Svetlana." (SLIDE No. 6) And today in the lesson we will analyze this work.
2.Checking individual homework
- Two students received individual homework, let's give them the floor.
- The first task is to find information about who V.A. Zhukovsky dedicated this work. (1 student: “The ballad “Svetlana” is dedicated to the niece of V.A. Zhukovsky Alexandra Andreevna Voeikova, nee Protasova, and presented by the author as a wedding gift) (SLIDE No. 7)
- The second task is to remember the characteristic features of the ballad. (SLIDE #8) (notebook entry)
1. Analysis of the work
1. Research work
- And now let's work with the text of the ballad "Svetlana".
The task for the first option is to find signs 1 and 3 in the text of the ballad, for the second - signs 2 and 4.
- Answer 1 option for 1 question (SLIDE No. 9,10,11,12,13). (Children name the parts of the composition, along the way we remember what they mean)
- What is an exposure? Tie? Action development? Climax? denouement?
(Students answer)
- In the text:
The exposition-action takes place in the hut on Epiphany evening. The girls have gathered here and are guessing at their betrothed.
The plot - Svetlana is sad, she tells her girlfriends of her sadness, left alone, sits down to the mirror to guess and suddenly sees her fiancé.
The development of the action - the groom is lucky to get married. They drive through the snow-covered steppe, and when they pass by the church, the heroine notices that a funeral service is taking place there. Finally, the groom brings her to a secluded hut, where she again sees the coffin ...
The climax is the dead man in the coffin - her fiancé.
The denouement - Svetlana wakes up, and then the groom appears to her alive and unharmed
- What is the symbolic nature of space and time. (The action takes place between reality and sleep. During fortune-telling, Svetlana falls asleep, all fears turn out to be a dream)
- Answer 2 options. What is a tense dramatic, mysterious or fantastic plot? (On the night before Epiphany, the girls are immersed in fortune-telling. Svetlana is sad because of the long separation from her fiancé, at midnight she wonders about fate her lover, wants to know. How soon will he get back to her? In a state of half-asleep it seems to her. That the groom comes and takes her away with him. Then they walk along the snow-covered steppe, at the church the heroine notices that a funeral service is taking place there. Then they arrive at a secluded hut, in which she sees a coffin, from which a dead man rises - her fiancé. Unexpectedly, the "white dove" protects Svetlana from the dead man. And then all the horrors disappear and, as it were, are canceled in their reality by the awakening of the heroine. In reality, the groom is healthy and unharmed, the ballad ends happily.)
- What is the unforeseen intervention of supernatural, fatal forces? (The unforeseen intervention of the “white dove” saves the girl from the dead. As soon as the dove hugs her with her wings, she wakes up and returns to her original reality.) ( SLIDE No. 14)
What is the dove a symbol of? (In the people - a symbol of happiness, love, tenderness, protection, a symbol of the blessing of the Lord?
- And what other birds are found in the ballad? (Rooster and Raven)
- What do these symbols mean? (Rooster - a certain sentry, intercessor, raven - predicts bad, terrible)
2. Analysis of the poetic text.
- Usually a person in a ballad felt the power of higher mysterious forces over himself, which are always ready to lead him astray from the right path and carry him to death. But not only evil forces test the spirit and soul of man. He is also under the cover of the Creator who is always ready to protect him and come to his aid. The word is, a person has a choice. In the ballad "Svetlana" folk principles triumph, the bearer of which is Svetlana. Zhukovsky embodied in her the character of a Russian girl, open love, faithful to folk-religious ideals and rejoicing in the happiness of living.
