Requirements

Spoken interaction (Dialogue) – Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction, and sustained relationships with native speakers quite possible without imposing strain on either party; can highlight the personal significance of events and experiences, account for and sustain views clearly by providing relevant explanations and arguments; can engage unprepared and naturally (in conversation or close conversation at the needed moment, adapt to change in direction, style, accents, self-correct mistakes leading to misunderstanding) in dialogues with native speakers (in discussions, explain and account for own point of view on contemporary issue, by giving arguments for and against; provide justification for something; develop line of argumentation, explaining advantages and disadvantages of various options; can explain a problem which has arisen and make it clear that the other partner of the negotiation must make a concession; can speculate about causes, consequences and hypothetical situations); can take an active part in informal discussions in familiar contexts commenting, putting point of view clearly, evaluating alternative proposals and making and responding to hypotheses related to major professional communicative settings, accounting for and sustaining own views; can take initiatives in an interview, expand and develop ideas with little help or prodding from an interviewer.
